WCP develops projects with the regulatory, fuel-quality, sustainability and traceability requirements that affect marine-fuel production and use in mind. The compliance pathway is treated as part of project development, not as a final-stage check.

Maritime Regulation

Projects are assessed in the context of relevant maritime decarbonisation requirements, including FuelEU Maritime, EU ETS and applicable IMO requirements, together with future changes that may affect carbon intensity and fuel economics.

Fuel Quality & Certification

Fuel specifications, testing, certification and consistency are considered as part of the technical solution. Where applicable, projects can be developed with reference to recognised marine-fuel standards such as ISO 8217 and the requirements of relevant testing and certification bodies.

Sustainability & Traceability

Feedstock origin, sustainability characteristics, production emissions and chain-of-custody requirements are considered so that lifecycle carbon claims can be evidenced and supported by appropriate data.
