Cutting GHG Emissions is Critical
WCP seeks to avoid landfill and minimise GHG emissions and carbon impact over the full value chains, for Environmental Sustainability.
It further seeks to optimise solutions to achieve viable costs (process, finance and outturn products) for Economic Sustainability.
And it seeks to integrate its solutions with / and for the benefit of local community and industry (secure, long-term, cost-certain) for Social Sustainability.
WCP is committed to reducing gaseous GHG emissions from any process to the absolute minimum possible.
Its concepts envisage either no emissions being produced or the most advanced flue gas cleaning processes, resulting in emissions being below those levels mandated by current legal limits.
To the extent that any CO2 is produced in its processes, WCP does not consider there to be any valid reasons for implementing any plant without carbon capture and utilisation capability today.
In its targeted industries WCP has focused on lifecycle assessment of carbon impact in the full value chains – including both upstream and downstream WCP selects target industries which have a mandate to decarbonise and where it can positively contribute to this goal.
